3D Modelling
High resolution, survey grade 3D models created from aerial imagery.
We use top of the range drone photogrammetry and processing software to produce accurate textured 3D meshes, point clouds and digital twins that can serve multiple purposes, such as design, planning and conservation.
The types of data we can provide:

Raw data such as a textured 3D mesh (OBJ/PLY) or dense point cloud (LAS/LAZ).

Ready to use 3D model within an interactive web viewer.

Accuracy options: visual-grade through to RTK based survey-grade models.
Typical uses cases include; site visualisations, pre-construction modelling, heritage recording, volumetric data, stock take, preservation.
Drone 3D modelling replaces slow manual surveys with fast aerial capture, reduces site visits and gives teams a single, accurate spatial model to plan from. It also provides insights to a site/building that can't be gained from a standard 2D image or site walkover.
UK compliance & quality — flights are carried out by GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) licensed pilots under UK CAA rules; where required we operate under Operational Authorisation and always carry out pre-flight assessments and operational risk assessments.

Mapping
Photogrammetry is at the heart of MAPPA's services and 2D maps can include orthomosaics, digital surface models (DSM/DSM) and digital elevation models (DEM) delivered as georeferenced TIFFs, CAD-ready products and GIS layers.
The types of data we can provide:

Orthomosaic maps (geotiff) at centimetre-level resolution.

DSM / DTM / DEM, contour outputs, plus further GIS/CAD suitable files.

Site information, such as cross sections and elevation data.

Precise georeferencing via RTK/PPK GNSS control where required.
Typical use cases include; topographic surveys, planning submissions, land management, forestry assessments, environmental monitoring, site handovers, condition reports.
2D mapping captured by drones provides a much faster and often more cost-effective method when compared with traditional terrestrial surveys .

LiDAR
Aerial LiDAR is useful for complex terrains, vegetation cover and infrastructure modelling. It is ideal for when photogrammetry struggles (dense canopy, low contrast surfaces, night operations).
The types of data we can provide:

High-density point clouds (LAS/LAZ) with intensity values, classified ground returns and derived products (DEM, DSM, contour lines).

Integration packages for Civil 3D, GIS and point-cloud viewers.
Typical use cases include; powerline corridor surveys, forestry & biomass measurement, coastal and floodplain modelling, high-accuracy topography.
LiDAR reliably captures ground beneath vegetation and produces higher fidelity elevation data than photogrammetry in cluttered environments.



Asset Inspection
Inspect and understand your assets in full detail — without costly scaffolding or manual checks. We combine high fidelity 3D modelling with smart, automated reporting systems (utilising third party software) so you get precise condition data, defect tracking, and actionable insights, fast.
Using drone photogrammetry and image capture, we build 3D models (“digital twins”) of your assets, façades, roofs, structural elements, industrial plant, or infrastructure. These models are navigable, measurable, and viewable online so you can inspect from any angle.
Raw images can be viewed within the 3D model and asset notes can be made with the click of a button. Aerial images are geotagged, registered, and aligned with models which can enable inspections for cracks, delamination, corrosion, moisture ingress etc.
Automated Asset Reports - once data is reviewed and notes have been documented on the model you can generate an automated inspection report, pulling together the findings including annotated defect locations, severity grading and 3D snapshots. The report is then provided in an easy to view PDF.

Site Progress
Regular, repeatable aerial surveys and automated reporting to track construction progress, measure volumes and compare plans vs reality.
We can provide scheduled repeat flights with 2D map orthomosaics or 3D models delivered on cadence (i.e monthly).

Magnetometry Surveys
Aerial magnetometer surveys for anomaly detection, archaeology and mineral exploration. We deploy magnetometers on UAV's made to carry payloads and fly for prolonged periods of time.
The types of data we can provide:

Magnetic anomaly maps, and exported data with coordinated target lists.

Delivery of processed maps with georeferencing and survey metadata.

Data reports highlighting findings and recommendations for next steps.
With RTK level accuracy and non-intrusive methods, drone magnetometry surveys enable safe data acquisition preventing risk of harm to the environment and people.
Typical uses could include; unexploded ordnance (UXO) surveys, heritage/archaeology surveys, near-surface mineral exploration and environmental baseline studies.
Why it helps?
Aerial magnetometry is faster and safer than ground walking surveys across difficult terrain, and provides high-quality targets for follow-up investigation. UAV based surveys can be up to 10x faster than traditional on-foot based surveys.
GIS Systems
Integrate your aerial data directly into your GIS, CAD, or BIM environments. We prepare geospatial datasets that plug seamlessly into your existing systems, enabling live spatial analysis, asset management, and decision-making.
